Prenatal planning

Prenatal planning consults can be done virtually or in-home and are approximately 45-60 mins.

Our prenatal sessions are discussion based and tailored to your needs. You can expect to:

  • Discuss your infant feeding goals and past medical history

  • Understand what to anticipate in the hospital, the first hours and days after birth, and how to advocate for yourself and baby

  • Learn the essentials of lactating and how our milk supply works, as well as newborn feeding and behavioral habits

  • Become familiar with breastfeeding positioning and infant latch techniques, and how to avoid nipple pain

  • Learn about when breastmilk or formula supplementation is needed beyond the breast and options to safely feed baby while protecting your supply

  • Discuss useful tools, supplies, and resources for lactation, breastfeeding and bottle feeding, and what to bring in your hospital bag

  • Develop a care plan to meet your goals

How you’ll feel

more calm and confident with the support and care you deserve.
